Abstract

Climate, with its various elements and extreme phenomena, is one of the most influential elements of the natural environment on the comfort and activity of the population . Its impact varies from one person to another depending on health status, age, gender, physical activity (mental and intellectual ) , nutrition, type of work, and the degree of accustoming to the climate.

The research relied on the regional and thematic approaches to show the climatic characteristics of the city of Zuwara, and their impact on the comfort of the population. The research also used the analytical method to analyze data and results, interpret information, and clarify relationships using tables and graphic forms. The researcher reached several results, the most prominent of which are: that temperature has an impact on the comfort of the population. By applying the Jafni coefficient, it became clear that winter and summer are uncomfortable seasons, as the average temperature in winter drops below (15°C), and in summer it rises above (28.5°C), while spring and autumn are suitable for the comfort of the
