The current study aims to reveal the relationship between alexithymia and psychological security in a sample of orphans, identify the differences in gender between males and females, and determine the level of alexithymia and psychological security. The sample consisted of (100) - (66) males, (34) females. The comparative correlational approach was used. To achieve the objectives of this study, the alexithymia scale (Toronto) and the psychological security scale of Zainab Sharif (2005) were used. This study reached the following results:
- The level of alexithymia is high in a sample of orphans in care homes.
- The level of psychological security is low in a sample of orphans in care homes.
- There are statistically significant gender differences between the responses of males and females.
- There are statistically significant differences between the responses of orphans in care homes.
- The study concluded with several recommendations and suggestions.
