Abstract

This study revolves around the reclamation of human sovereignty in the act of writing and reception, at a time when the literary text has shifted from an existential entity into digital data subjected to algorithms of consumption. Within this context emerges the crisis of instrumental reason, as warned by the Frankfurt School, whereby the text is no longer a sanctuary for the manifestation of human truth but has become a material for technical recycling. The research highlights the dangers of the fluidity of quotation practiced by artificial intelligence, which—depending on the cognitive structure of the recipient, whether reproductive, bourgeois, or creative—extends beyond the theft of words to the appropriation of intentionality and the restless spirit that distinguishes human creativity. The distinction between humanity and mere biological existence is emphasized, underscoring the vast gap between the two.

Grounded in a critical vision inspired by Sheikh Mohammed Al-Sheikh’s theory of Functional Analysis of the Human, the study classifies the human mind into three structures: the closed reproductive structure, the primary bourgeois structure, and the transcendent creative structure. It argues that only the latter possesses the capacity to safeguard the literary text from dissolution in the age of artificial intelligence. This is achieved through the activation of cumulative cultural capital, the employment of imagination and reflection, and the preservation of creativity as a liberatory act that transcends digital reification and reaffirms the human being as historical consciousness resisting superficiality and intellectual theft.
